Scientific interests:
- mechanics of materials and structures, material and geoemetrical nonlinearities, contact problems;
- historical masonry, mathematical description, statics and dynamics of masonry;
- seismic and paraseismic (mining zones) resistance of structures;
- interaction of fire and mechanical (static and dynamic) loading;
- nonlinear soil-structure interaction.
Engineering work:
- structural design of industrial and bridge structures in seismic zones;
- geotechnical engineering in seismic zones;
- numerical modelling and structural design of composite steel-soil birdges;
- static and dynamic analysis of historical objects, including Royal Palace in Genoa.
Achievements:
- Rector Prize for work on the behalf of Wrocław University of Science and Technology, June 2012
- First ranked graduate of year 2013 at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, WUST, Wrocław
