randomness of subsoil parameters, construction parameters and loads in soil-foundation interaction problems;

geoengineering constructions and their design – optimization of technical solutions which link different foundation-engineering techniques (retaining walls, foundation slabs, piles, thin-walled culverts, reinforced soils, etc.);
- probabilistic modelling in geoengineering;
- mining geoengineering
